UK MP Doubles Down on Britons using Food Banks because they "Can't Cook"
Conservative MP Lee Anderson has refused to apologize for his “common sense” comments that poor people depend on food banks because they don’t have the education to budget or cook properly.
Anderson - who claimed almost $270,000 in expenses last year - said with “the right education, they would be able to fend for themselves” adding he was “glad it’s caused all this fuss” because it sparks debate.
Opposition lawmakers slammed his “disgraceful” comments as a sign of how out of touch the UK’s ruling party is with the cost-of-living crisis.
