沙烏地阿拉伯王儲薩勒曼之子卡勒德王子,日前親駕F15戰機對「伊斯蘭國」進行攻擊。(路透) slideshow 美國與盟邦連日來大規模空襲激進組織「伊斯蘭國」在敘利亞境內的據點。阿拉伯聯合大公國駐美大使25日證實,阿聯當天首度派女飛官駕駛F-16戰機參與空襲行動。此外,沙烏地阿拉伯王子也親自駕駛戰機出擊。

美國與沙烏地阿拉伯、約旦、巴林、卡達和阿聯23日聯手空襲敘利亞。阿聯駐美大使歐太巴證實,35歲的空軍女少校曼蘇里(Mariam al-Mansouri)參與空襲任務,她現在是F16戰機中隊的指揮官。阿聯2007年開放女性從軍,曼蘇里同年入伍,並進入阿布達比的哈里發空校(Khalifa bin Zayed Air College)就讀,翌年畢業。曼蘇里2008年接受阿聯官方媒體「阿聯互動」訪問時說,加入空軍是她畢生志向。

曼蘇里成為阿聯首位出征女性的消息一出,社群網站使用者熱烈討論,支持者在推特上轉貼她的照片並讚賞她的「戰績」。一名女性在推特上寫道:「她在摧毀IS巢穴的行動中參一腳。」但曼蘇里出征也引發保守派穆斯林強烈批評,指她「犯罪」。

此外,沙烏地阿拉伯24日公布參與空襲的八名男飛官的照片,包括沙國總理特基親王之子卡勒德王子(Khaled bin Salman)坐在F-15駕駛艙內的照片。沙國公布卡勒德王子參戰照片,旨在傳達王室與西方國家合力對抗極端組織的決心,並告訴國民IS是沙國王室的敵人。

Britain's Ministry of Defence on Wednesday Oct. 1, 2014 said two RAF Tornados fired missiles against an armed pick-up truck and transport vehicle west of Baghdad.
